Senior Support Specialist

The Senior Support Specialist will provide technical email and phone support for Hershey clients as well as oversee the successful day-to-day operation of the Help Desk area. This position is responsible for identifying and resolving technical issues to the satisfaction of Hershey’s clients and for assisting Help Desk staff. This Senior Support Specialist will monitor the status of all open support calls and ensure prompt follow up and closure. This position will also oversee and maintain the technical knowledge base. The Sr. Support Specialist will coordinate the escalation of issues requiring the input of additional technical staff, and assist project team leaders with scheduled software installations. The Sr. Support Specialist will prepare status reports for technical staff, Account Executives and company management.

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 3 years Help Desk support experience
  • Must have at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Solid interpersonal relations skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience trouble-shooting and supporting client and web-based applications
  • Ability to multi-task and to anticipate problems
  • Ability to deal with all levels of staff, clients and external service providers
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • High level of initiative and goal oriented
  • Strong creative problem solving skills in both simple and complex transactions
  • Able to quickly organize and make decisions during pressure situations
  • Bachelor's Degree or Minor in MIS.
  • Working knowledge of XML, Java, JavaScript, Linux, Windows 2000 and 2003 servers, SQL Server 2000 and networking
  • Linux/Unix servers and Oracle are a plus

This is a full-time position. Salary is commensurate with experience.
