A Healthy Dose of Document Management Hershey Systems Acquires MedPro Software

SANTA FE SPRINGS — February 27, 2006 — Hershey Systems, Inc. today announced the completion of its acquisition of MedPro Software. The transaction was finalized on Monday, November 20, 2006. “The acquisition of MedPro Software is another illustration of Hershey’s commitment to delivering innovative and student centered software solutions for Higher Education” said Ron Christian, Executive Vice President of Hershey Systems. “Hershey is focused on strengthening our leadership position within Higher Education.”

The MedPro acquisition was strategic for Hershey providing yet another department (student healthcare centers) the ability to benefit from Hershey’s technology. With over forty MedPro installations, the acquisition will drive Hershey’s total client-base to nearly two hundred software installations in Higher Education. “The response from the client-base is very positive; they feel this is a great move,” said MedPro Project Manager, TJ LaMair.

This week Hershey will begin executing the planned integration of the two companies' operations, networks and client services organizations to ensure a smooth transition and immediate value for MedPro clients. “I expect the transition from MedPro to Hershey to be seamless for the MedPro clients” said LaMair, “Hershey offers MedPro clients stability, outstanding customer service, and an innovative Research and Development group.” Hershey’s enterprise content management solutions, Singularity and DocBox XE, provide MedPro clients a secure and robust solution to manage all student healthcare documentation. HIPAA requires that all medical records be stored on a separate server designated solely for medical purposes. The combination of MedPro Software with Hershey’s content management solutions will ensure HIPAA compliance for institutions across North America.
