University of Maryland University College Selects Hershey Systems' Singularity Suite for Worldwide Document Management Deployment
SANTA FE SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA — 8/2/2006 — Hershey Systems and the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) today announced an agreement enabling UMUC to deploy Hershey's Singularity Suite worldwide. With this implementation, Hershey, the leading provider of document and process management solutions for higher education, will enable UMUC, an international leader in on-line and in-class education, to automate the transfer student transcript and credit evaluation process.
Through the leadership and vision of the President’s office, Dr. Susan C. Aldridge, UMUC will streamline processes across the entire university and worldwide locations using new technology. “The quality of our education, offered both on-line and in-class, attracts transfer students from hundreds of universities. UMUC is investing in leading-edge technology to ensure that student transfer credits are evaluated within 48 hours. Students want to know if credits will transfer before making a decision about the university they will attend. At UMUC, we’ll be able to serve these students more effectively than most universities in the U.S.,” said Dr. Aldridge.

Singularity Suite is an enterprise document management and workflow software product that enables institutions to manage all critical documents and processes.
